As part of efforts to prevent elephantiasis, health staff dosed local people with preventive medicines in Butar village, Shwe Myo village-tract, Tatkone Township, Nay Pyi Taw this evening.
Health Supervisor-2 U Chan Htoo Lwin and health staff from Shwe Myo Station Health Center in collaboration with village elders, philanthropic youth groups from Shwe Myo and Butat villages made door to door visits to a total of 230 households to give elephantiasis preventive medicines.
In the campaign, 751 people over the age of 18 and 381 people under aged 19 totaling 1332 people were dosed up with preventive medicines.—Tin Soe Lwin
