Social services training course initiated in Kengtong

A social services training course was launched at the office of Kengtong District Social Welfare Department in Shan State (East) with an opening speech by Assistant Deputy Commissioner U Chit Ko Ko of Kengtong District General Administration Department this morning.

Assistant Director Daw Khin Khin Myint, head of Kengtong District SWD, in her remarks said that the training course is aimed at enabling the entire people to enjoy their rights they should deserve, adding that the training course covers the seven major tasks of the department- early childhood care and development services, children and youth welfare services, women welfare services, care of the aged, rehabilitation of the disabled persons, rehabilitation of ex-drug addicts, grants in aids to voluntary organizations and public welfare services.

AD Daw Khin Khin Myint, Police Captain Mi Mi Ko of Anti-Human Trafficking Squad-28 and Daw Nan Woe Fat, in Charge of Mawqam Areas Development Group will give lectures to 70 trainees of social organizations from wards and villages.—District IPRD
