Tourists visit Myanmar on their own motorcars and motorbikes

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been planning travel itinerary for international visitors to tour Myanmar conveniently with the aim of boosting tourism industry.

The ministry also organized some travel routes for foreigners who enter the country through border checkpoints to enjoy natural scenery and traditional cultural customs of ethnic people. 13 tourists from India, Spain, France, Britain, Switzerland and the Netherlands visited Myanmar on their own motorcars and motorbikes by crossing the Tamu border gate on 14 January under the management of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and Osuga Myanmar Co., Ltd.
They also toured Kalay, Bagan, Kalaw, Namhsan, Kengtung, and Tachilek for five days. They departed for Thailand through the Tachilekborder checkpoint on 19 January. As this is open season in Myanmar and some restrictions were eased to welcome more tourists.

Globetrotters are continuously entering Myanmar by land, air and sea to visit significant tourist attraction sites in the country.—MOHT
