Two new buildings opened in Yekyi

Yekyi, 21 January 

 

The handover ceremony of two new buildings for Basic Education High School (branch), Kayin village, Yekyi Township, Pathein District, Ayeyarwady Region took place at the school with an introductory speech by Township Administrator U Min Khing Win and Township Education Officer Daw Khin Khin Aye.

 

The ceremony was also attended by officials from Ministry of Education, donors, parents and students in which a ribbon was cut to formally open the ceremony.  

 

 The school board of trustees handed over the related documents concerning the two new buildings to the Ministry of Education and presented the certificates of honor to the donors.

 

There are 358 students in total at the high school (branch) from KG to Grade-10, of whom some 200 are accommodated in the new school building. The school was graded to the high school (branch) from the middle school in the year 2018, spending some K 50 million.—Soe Min Oo (IPRD)
