Three stars project to be implemented for creating job opportunities for farmers in Mandalay

With the aim of creating job opportunities for farmers in Mandalay region, three stars project will be implemented.

 The project will cover courses on production of value-added crops, control of pests, utilization of fertilizer for about 4,000 poor farmers. The project will be conducted by DaNa Facility, one of program of Department for International Development in UK (DFID) and Snack Mandalay.

“Increase of farmers’ income, emergence of market for curry powder, creating job opportunities for women in agricultural industry will be brought via the project” said Dr. Pyae Phyo Aye, managing director of the Snack Mandalay.

The project will support to penetrate to international market, to be available direct purchase from the farmers and to get higher price in curry powder market. The project will undertake with farmers with below of K 170,000. A total of US$ 3.1 million will be invested in the project.
