The Township Agriculture Department has earmarked 1,958 acres for the cultivation of oilseed crops, including 1,090 acres for garden pea and 868 acres for cow pea, in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region, during this winter crop-growing season. So far, garden pea and cow pea have been planted on over 1,000 acres, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
Currently, officials from the Township Department of Agriculture are conducting field trips and providing guidance and knowledge on agricultural practices to farmers, according to the Township Department of Agriculture.— Myo Myint Thu
