Pyu, 5 August

In an effort to boost local fish populations in rivers, streams, and lakes, the Pyu Township Fisheries Department, under Taungoo District in the Bago Region, released fingerlings into Pyu Creek near the Pyu Creek Bridge at 10:00 a.m. on 5 August.

 

A total of 150,000 fingerlings—comprising 100,000 rohu and 50,000 swamp barbs—were released into the creek by U Myint Oo, Staff Officer of the Taungoo District Fisheries Department. He was joined by officials from the Township General Administration Department, the Pyu Township Fisheries Department, and other township-level departments.— Nay Myo Lwin (IPRD)
