THE opening ceremony of the 2025 Under-23 Inter-Township Men’s and Women’s Sepak Takraw Tournament was held yesterday morning at National Indoor Stadium 1 in Thuwunna, Thingangyun Township.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening speech and extended a warm welcome to the participating teams. Following the ceremony, the chief minister and attendees watched the first match of the tournament.
A total of 45 men’s teams and 22 women’s teams are taking part in the competition, which will run until 9 June. — Arkar Lin/MKKS
