The Department of Basic Education under the Ministry of Education released the results of the 2024–2025 matriculation examination (Grade 12) on 27 July at examination centers nationwide. In Putao District, Kachin State, the overall pass rate across three exam centers was 33.75%.

At the Putao Examination Center, 186 out of 550 candidates passed, yielding a 33.82% pass rate. At the Machanbaw Examination Center, 22 out of 51 students passed (43.14%), while at the Naungmon Examination Center, nine out of 42 passed, with a 21.43% pass rate. Altogether, 217 out of 643 candidates passed across Putao District.

Among the 186 students who passed at the Putao exam center: 44 students earned one distinction, 10 earned two distinctions, three earned three distinctions, two earned four distinctions. At the Machanbaw center, eight students earned one distinction and one student earned two distinctions. At the Naungmon center, one student earned one distinction.

In total, across all exam centers in Putao District, 53 students received one distinction, 11 received two distinctions, three received three distinctions, two received four distinctions.— Phun Kan (Putao)
