NATIONAL Defence and Security Coun­cil Office Executive Chief U Aung Lin Dwe, accompanied by Union ministers and relevant officials, attended the 74th Anniversary of Kayah State Day cele­bration at Loikaw State Hall yesterday.

 

After the ceremonial procedures, the Executive Chief read out the mes­sage sent by Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the occasion.

 

Kayah State Chief Minister U Sein Oo remarked, and the Executive Chief presented honorary certificates and titles to the outstanding recipients in peace, security, rule of law and man­agement sectors.

 

The Union ministers, state minis­ters and relevant officials then present­ed honorary certificates and titles to the outstanding individuals in different sectors, who won in the 26th Traditional Myanmar Cultural Performing Arts Competitions and 33rd SEA Games.

 

The Executive Chief and members watched the Kayah and Kayan tradition­al wrestling events and sports competi­tions marking the 74th Kayah State Day, and presented awards to the winners.

 

They observed the booths of min­istries concerned marking the event.

 

At noon, they attended the open­ing ceremony of the new two-storey RCC Dwemalnaw School Building of Lawdhamma BEHS (Branch).

 

They had a documentary photo tak­en together with the attendees, and viewed around the school compound after the ceremony.

 

On arrival at Loikaw University, the Executive Chief and party heard the reports regarding the completed maintenance works, undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the 2025-2026 academic year, short-term courses for distance education and further work plans of the university.

 

The Executive Chief handed over the fund for the 17th convocation of the university, and urged the attendees to work hard to make the university lively with students as before and appreciat­ed the efforts of faculty members who impart knowledge to the students.

 

The Executive Chief and party vis­ited Sutaungpyae Myonan Cedi and donated cash.

 

They attended the dinner event marking the 74th Kayah State Day on the same evening.

The Executive Chief had dinner together with the attendees, enjoying traditional dances, songs and per­formances of Kayah cultural dance troupes. — MNA/KTZH
