A total of 800 acres of rain-fed paddy have been successfully planted in Meiktila Township, Mandalay Region, for the 2025–2026 fiscal year under the National Economic Development Fund, according to the Township Agriculture Department.

The department set a target of cultivating 800 acres using irrigation and reservoir water, in collaboration with local farmers. Efforts are ongoing to meet both the planting area and expected yield goals.— Thein Myint Kyaw
