THE Runderful Bagan Temple Run 2025 marathon took place at 6 am yesterday in the Bagan Archaeological Zone, starting from the ground near the south­ern arch of Ananda Temple in Taungbi Village of Bagan.

 

The event was launched by Lt-Gen Thaung Aye (Retired) and U Kyaw Min Nyo, Chairman of the NyaungU District Man­agement and Administration Committee.

 

A total of 981 participants competed across three catego­ries: 10 kilometres (411 male and female runners), 21 kilo­metres (460 runners), and 42 kilometres (110 runners). Win­ners were presented prizes by Lt-Gen Thaung Aye (Retired), Deputy Commander of the Man­dalay Region Police Force, Police Colonel Aung Ko Oo, NyaungU District Administration Commit­tee Chairman U Kyaw Min Nyo, and officials from the organizing committee.

 

In the 10-kilometre category, the first prize winner received K500,000, the second K300,000, and the third K200,000. In the 21-kilometre race, the first, sec­ond, and third prize winners re­ceived K700,000, K500,000, and K300,000, respectively. In the 42-kilometre category, the top three winners were awarded K1 million, K700,000, and K500,000.
