ACTING President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the People’s Republic of China during his working visit, together with his entourage, left Beijing Capital International Airport for Harbin at 8 am Chinese standard time yesterday. They were seen off at the airport by officials from the Beijing Municipal People’s Government.

 

On arrival at Taiping International Airport in Harbin at 9:30 am Chinese standard time, they were welcomed by a person at the rank of Deputy Minis­ter from the Chinese government and officials.

 

The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and party visited Harbin Institute of Technology, where they were welcomed by Mr Han Jie Cai, President of Harbin Institute of Technology, and officials.

 

At the museum of the institute, they watched a video clip on the institute. They viewed the manufacturing of missiles, innovation of rockets and sat­ellites, successful tests to pro­duce nuclear bomb and hy­drogen bomb for the sake of defending the State, innovation and launching of satellites for relevant sectors, success in the aerospace sector, the booth on landing at the moon, launching of spacecraft, and the booth on astronauts who came out from China. Officials conducted them around the museum.

 

The Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Repub­lic of the Union of Myanmar raised queries for clarification and discussed prospects to share aerospace technologies between Harbin Institute of Technology and Myanmar.

 

He accepted a scale model of a space station presented by the president of the institute and returned the gifts.

 

In the afternoon, they visit­ed Harbin Electric Corporation, where they were welcomed by officials. At the hall of the compa­ny, they watched an introductory video clip. They viewed round generating hydropower, wind power and solar power, as well as nuclear-powered electricity, manufacturing of necessary generators and accessories to be used in generating coal-fired electricity, operation to generate green power energy, and pro­duction of electronic equipment displayed at the hall. Officials conducted them around the ex­hibition.

 

Moreover, they observed the production of machinery using AI technology. After hear­ing the clarification of officials, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar explained the prospect of cooperation in gener­ating hydropower in Myanmar.
