Mong Hsat, 28 October

The opening ceremony of the 9th Advanced Sewing Course at the Women’s Domestic Vocational Training School (Mong Hsat), under the Department of Education and Training, Ministry of Border Affairs, was held on 27 October at 9 a.m. in the school hall.

At the ceremony, U Nyi Nyi Htwe, Chairman of the District Management and Administration Committee, delivered the opening speech. Daw Khaing Khaing Htwe, Head of the Vocational Training School, explained the course syllabus and the provision of teaching aids.

A total of 30 trainees from Mong Hsat District are attending the 22-week training course, which covers sewing techniques (in both inch and centimeter systems), 10 types of handicrafts, baking, and 12 types of cooking techniques.— Yin Yin Win (IPRD)
