A three-day course on post-harvest technology and good agricultural practices was opened for final students from Agricultural University and junior staff from the agricultural departments at the meeting hall of Kyaukse District Agricultural Department, Mandalay region on July 1.

 


In the course, Assistant Director U Soe Naing of the district AD urged the trainees to keep on study subjects on agriculture not contenting with what they have learnt in the course and to make efforts for the benefits of the farmers in the region where they would be assigned to. Staff officers Daw Moe Moe Soe and Daw Thein Thein Han of the district AD gave lectures on various kinds of soil, seeds and their diversities. Deputy staff officers U Win Oo and Daw Thida Win delivered lectures about post-harvest technologies, crop development and prevention of harmful insects with the use of a video projector. 

 


The course was attended by a total of 28 trainees, 13 final students from Yezin Agricultural University, 15 agricultural staff, it is learnt.—District IPRD
