UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, accompa­nied by Kayah State Chief Min­ister U Zaw Myo Tin, enjoyed the entertainment programmes performed by the artistes for the Tatmadaw and Myanmar Police Force members of Kayah State yesterday, and presented cash prizes to the Tatmadaw and po­lice members.

 

In his greeting speech, the Union minister briefed the entertainment programmes of artistes, and highlighted the sac­rifices of Tatmadaw and police members to regain state stabil­ity, whereas the management and reconstruction processes of the state government improved the figure of Loikaw.

 

Famous artistes sang songs, and Tatmadaw and police mem­bers enjoyed themselves happily.

 

The Union minister, officials and artistes arrived at Taunggyi on the same afternoon.

 

At the City Hall of Taunggyi, the artistes hosted the entertain­ment programmes. During the event, the ethnic literature and culture associations also per­formed Shan and Pa-O danc­es. The Union minister then presented cash prizes to the artistes.

 

The Union minister and rel­evant officials donated 80 MRTV DTH receivers, 10 T-2 boxes, and 100 Canal+ DTH receivers.

 

They also drew lots for the attendees and handed over an MRTV DTH receiver and an MRTV T-2 set-top box to each of the winners, respectively. The ceremony came to an end with the lively performances of the ar­tistes and participants. — MNA/ KTZH
