The Department of Basic Education under the Ministry of Education, Yangon Region, Twantay District, held an award ceremony this morning to honor outstanding students in the 2025 University Entrance Examination. The event took place at 10:00 a.m. at the Panya Yadana Hall of No. (2) Basic Education High School.

The ceremony began with students from B.E.H.S.-2 singing the school song. Following this, U Nyunt Nwe, Chairman of the Twantay District Management and Administration Committee, delivered an opening speech. A cultural dance performance by B.E.H.S.-2 students was then presented, and District Education Officer Daw Khin San Yee provided an explanation of the awards and the purpose of the event.

The Chairman and other officials presented awards to 120 outstanding students, including two students who achieved five distinctions, eight students with four distinctions, ten students with three distinctions, 23 students with two distinctions, and 77 students with one distinction.

Ma Myat Thadda Htet, a top-performing student with five distinctions from Twante Arman Private High School, expressed her gratitude on behalf of the awardees. The ceremony concluded with another dance performance and a group song by B.E.H.S.-2 students featuring Zarti Man, followed by a commemorative group photo with all attendees and award recipients.— Myo Hlaing (Twantay)
