THE opening ceremony of the Thadingyut MSMEs Expo and market fair was held in Pathein Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday morning in front of the City Hall on Strand Road, Pathein Township.

Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, opened the expo and market fair by cutting the button.

Then, the Chief Minister and his team viewed Drum Seeders manufactured by Nilar Fiberglass enterprise, Shwemyintmo Industrial enterprise, the agricultural machinery produced by Hteiktan Industry and De Ayeya Industrial Association, MSMEs products displayed by 26 townships from eight districts. The Chief Minister emphasized the officials to promote the production of local products based on agriculture and livestock by districts and townships, to export food products not only to the domestic market but also to foreign markets, to improve the production of raw materials to finished products, to improve the packaging system, to make the products attractive and meet the market demand.

The Chief Minister and his team also visited booths of companies and departments at the expo.

The Ayeyawady Region Government arranges the sale of cooking oil at a reference price of one viss per person during the Thadingyut festival by the Region Oil Dealers Association. The festival also features foodstuff and consumer goods for sale.

The Thadingyut MSMEs expo and market fair are being held from 4 to 6 October. A total of 36 booths, including 26 MSMEs product booths from 26 townships of eight districts will be put on display along with 10 departmental and company booths. The booths attract the public to come and buy. The MSMEs products are crowded with buyers. In order to provide entertainment during the Thadingyut holiday, singers such as Zaw Paing, Irene Zin Mar Myint, Phoe Ka, and Yadana Mai will perform at the City hall on the Strand Road in Pathein from on 4 October to the full moon day of Thadingyut (6 October).
