Basic food items have been sold at reduced prices in Myaung Mya, Ayeyarwady Region, since 2 June. The latest sale was held this morning at 7:00 a.m. at the corner of Aung San Road and 7th Road.
Organized by the Myaung Mya District Commodity Price Stabilization Committee, five sales teams offered essential goods—including rice, cooking oil, chicken eggs, and duck eggs—at subsidized prices. Today’s rates included rice at K2,000 per basket, palm oil at K6,800 per viss, chicken eggs at K400 each, and duck eggs at K430 each.
The sales team, made up of officials from the District and Township Planning, Rural Development, Land Records, Cooperative, and Revenue Departments, sold a total of 20 bags of rice, 110 viss of palm oil, 900 chicken eggs, and 300 duck eggs.— Zay Yar (Myaung Mya)
