THE 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is being held at Shaunang Park in Beijing from 10 to 14 September. This year, more than 70 international organizations and over a hundred Chinese companies are showcasing nearly 200 new products and innovations.

 

The fair features a wide range of activities, including global trade sum­mits, exhibitions and forums. Key highlights are services in telecommu­nications, digital technology, artificial intelligence, network technology, ro­botics and industrial machinery, along­side international enterpreneurship. The construction sector is presenting advances in applying artificial intelli­gence, environmental conservation and integrated infrastructure development through Chinese and international companies.

 

Financial and banking pavilions are exhibiting banking technology, public benefit programmes and digi­tal banking systems. Cultural sections feature plans for building international cultural centres, while the education sector showcases technological and research achievements of Chinese and international universities, vocational schools and pathways for expanding ed­ucational opportunities. Health, sports, transport, economics, social welfare services and exhibitions of Chinese cultural heritage are also included.

 

During the event, China is seek­ing to align its economic strategies with international organizations and countries to expand global investment. Businessmen from Chinese provinces, Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese Taipei are also participating, according to a Hong Kong pavilion official.

 

The fair was first held in 2012, and up to now it has attracted participation from 198 countries, bringing together around 1.19 million international indus­try professionals and entrepreneurs. — Khin Yadana/KZL
