THE Bago Region Investment Committee approved the in­crease of foreign investment to US$0.726 million in Bago Region in June, according to Bago Re­gion government.

 

The committee held its meeting 3/2025 to raise the in­vestment amount of foreign invested businesses being op­erated in Bago Region.

 

As a result, foreign invest­ment valued at US$0.726 mil­lion increased in Bago Region in June 2025. From 1 February 2021 to date, the region has approved foreign investment worth US$209.748 million and citizens’ investment amounting to K197,054.221 million to create employment opportunities for 13,321 residents.

 

As Bago Region focuses on functionalities of agriculture and livestock businesses, it was reported that local authorities will invite local and foreign in­vestments to manufacture ag­ricultural machinery, fertilizers, animal feedstuff and solar ener­gy in the region.
