A total of three new invested businesses, one foreign investment and two domestic investment, were granted in Bago Region in November 2025 to create job opportunities for 1,285 people, according to the Bago Region Government.
The 5/2025 meeting of Bago Region Investment Committee allowed these investments. The capital from one foreign investment amounted to US$1.425 million, and two domestic businesses invested a total of K4.93 billion.
The amount of foreign and Myanmar investment in Bago Region totalled $214.328 million and K234.111 billion from 1 February 2021 to 11 January 2025, while job opportunities were created for 15,619 people. The committee monthly allows investments of Myanmar citizens as well as that of foreigners in order to create more employment opportunities for residents under the laws and procedures. — ASH/KZL
