Officials from the Hpa-an Township Rural Development Department in Kayin State inspected the construction of a bridge on the Lasan–Kai Laung Se inter-village road this morning. The project is being implemented with state government funds for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
During the inspection, U Win Zaw, District Chief of the Hpa-an District Rural Development Department, Daw Khaing Thazin Nyo, Staff Officer of the Hpa-an Township Rural Development Department, and other officials reviewed the progress of the bridge construction and met with company representatives to ensure timely completion in line with the set quality standards.
The project involves the construction of a 40-foot-long, 14-foot-wide, and 8-inch-thick concrete bridge. The work, undertaken by a tender-winning company at a cost of 137.9 million kyats, began in the fourth week of June this year. As of now, 20 percent of the construction work has been completed.— Setlu
