Brunei reported 2,278 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the national tally to 114,371.
All the newly recorded cases were local infections, the country's health ministry said.
As of March 13, 58.6 percent of Brunei's 420,000 population have received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccines, while more than 94 percent have received one dose and two doses, respectively.
The COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer, BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and China's Sinopharm are administered in Brunei.
According to the health ministry, four more patients passed away in the past 24 hours, bringing the death tally to 170.
Currently, 30,440 active cases are being treated and monitored in Brunei, where 83,761 recoveries from COVID-19 have been reported.
Meanwhile, Brunei's Prime Minister's Office announced on Monday that the country's temporary suspension of cross-border activities with Malaysia will be extended for 16 days from March 16 to March 31.
Located in Southeast Asia, northwest of Kalimantan, Brunei shares land and sea borders with East Malaysia.
