THE government investigated and deported the illegal foreign entrants who entered Kayin State via border routes of some neighbouring countries, including Thailand, and were involved in online scams, gambling and criminal activities. Moreover, the government demolishes the buildings in the respec­tive zones of the KK Park area.

 

“There are 148 buildings in KK Park Zone A. We will demolish all build­ings, aiming to combat online scams, gambling and criminal activities. Now, we finish demolishing 110 buildings, and will keep doing so for the remaining 525buildings,” said an official.

 

There are a total of 635 buildings in three zones of the KK Park area. In Zone (B), there are 73 buildings- seven one-storey buildings, 29 three-storey buildings for residence, seven four-sto­rey buildings which are under construc­tion, five five-storey buildings under construction and 20 warehouses.

 

In Zone C, there are a total of 414 buildings- 33 one-storey buildings, 216 two storey buildings, 42 three-storey buildings, 39 four-storey buildings, 12 five-storey buildings, four six-sto­rey buildings, a basketball court, two hospitals, a two-storey SAP, a one-sto­rey building, five two-storey markets, a two-storey supermarket, a storey supermarket, a five-storey hotel, a four-storey hotel, 35 warehouses, two clinics, a two-storey glass building, a two-storey club, a two-storey building, two one-storey kitchens, a water tank, six large warehouses and five barracks.

 

Yesterday, the authorities detained 40 Indians, 12 Nepalese and one Kore­an, totalling 53 individuals, involved in telecom fraud and other criminal activities in Kayin State.

 

Between 30 January and 11 No­vember 2025, a total of 10,815 illegal immigrants were identified and de­tained in Myanmar. Of this number, 9,536 individuals have already been deported through Thailand to their respective countries, while arrange­ments are being made to deport the remaining 1,279 individuals. These individuals are currently under de­tention while awaiting repatriation. The government is strictly cracking down on online scams and online gam­bling by cooperating with other coun­tries, including neighbouring countries. — Aung Gyaing/KTZH
