Bushfire torches 13 houses in Saw Township

At least 13 houses were burnt to ashes in a bushfire in Paukchaung Village, Saw Township in Magway Region.
    

The forest fire broke out near Paukchaung Village about 16 miles southwest of Laungshae Town at about 4:30 p.m. on 21 March. Upon receiving information about the fire, firefighters along with a fire engine rushed to the scene and took about two hours to completely put out the flame.
    

The blaze consumed 13 homes made of bamboo and thatch. The fire victims are currently taking shelter at a school and are provided with relief supplies by local authorities.—Zaw Myo Thant (Saw)
