A cervical cancer vaccination campaign for schoolgirls aged 9 and 12 was held this morning at the hall of No. 14 Basic Education High School in Seikkyi Kanaungto Township, Yangon Region.

Schoolgirls aged 9 and 12 received the cervical cancer vaccine from a medical team led by Nurse Daw Khi Pa Pa Lwin from the Township Public Health Department. The headmaster, teachers, members of social organizations, and parents also assisted the medical team during the campaign.

There are 17 Basic Education Schools in Seikkyi Kanaungto Township, and schoolgirls from the remaining schools will receive the vaccine in the coming days, according to the Township Public Health Department.— Wai Yan (IPRD)
