At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will pay a working visit to China in the coming days.

During the visit, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, which will be held in Tianjin. Senior General will also attend the military parade in Beijing commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

In addition, Senior General is scheduled to meet with H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, as well as other government leaders attending the commemorative events and senior officials from the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

The visit will also include observation tours of notable sites in China, and sectors such as education, industrial production, and the economy. Discussions will be held to explore opportunities to deepen bilateral friendship and enhance cooperation across multiple sectors between the two countries and their peoples.—MDN
