Since September 1, children under the age of two and pregnant women in Thaton Township, Mon State, have been receiving routine immunizations at the office of the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association, according to the Township Public Health Department.
Health workers are administering a range of essential vaccines in line with Ministry of Health guidelines, including: Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus (DPT), Hepatitis B, Polio, Measles and Rubella, Meningococcal (5-valent), Rotavirus (severe diarrheal disease), Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) vaccine for pregnant women.
These vaccinations are part of a regular monthly immunization program conducted by the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association. In the previous round on August 2, a total of 291 children under two years old and 55 pregnant women received their scheduled vaccinations in Thaton Township.— District IPRD
