Taninthayi, 25 September
A collective tree planting event aimed at environmental conservation and promoting a greener, balanced ecosystem was held this morning near the Bogyoke Bronze Statue–Bawdi Bridge roadside in Chaungnge Ward, Taninthayi Township, Taninthayi Region.
The event began with the Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, U Philip Win, and members handing over saplings to departmental officials. Participants then planted a total of 200 saplings, including 100 Pyingadoe and 100 Manshaja trees.
A total of 149 people took part, including local authorities, police and fire personnel, departmental staff, members of the Township Women’s Affairs Federation, the Maternal and Child Welfare Association, and local teachers.— Thi Thi Khaing (Taninthayi)
