Officials from the Hmawbi Township Rural Development Department, Yangon Region, conducted an inspection of the concrete paving project currently being implemented in Ye Su Village under the 2025–2026 fiscal year Village Development Project (VDP).
The inspection was led by Daw Swe Swe Myint, Head of the Hmawbi District Rural Development Department, alongside U Soe Kyaw Thu, Township Chief, responsible engineering staff, and members of the Village Development Project Committee. The team inspected the ongoing concrete road construction and associated works in the village.
During the visit, the District Chief met with village elders and local residents, urging all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the project in full compliance with the prescribed quality standards.
The concrete road under construction is 360 feet long, 10 feet wide and 6 inches thick. It is being built by local villagers, starting from the first week of August, with technical assistance and close supervision from Department staff.
The project is funded by a total of Ks. 21 million, including Ks. 15 million from the VDP and Ks. 6 million contributed by local residents. To date, approximately 75% of the work has been completed.— Thaw Zin Htoo
