Officials from the Tachilek Township Rural Development Department, Shan State (East), conducted a field inspection of the concrete road paving project in Panku (Lahu) Village this morning.
During the inspection, Daw Let Let Thin, Head of the Township Rural Development Department, together with departmental officials and members of the Village Development Committee, reviewed the progress of the road construction — a 350-foot-long, 10-foot-wide, and 6-inch-thick concrete road. They also met with village elders to discuss timely completion of the project and coordinate local needs.
The project, implemented by local villagers with technical support from the Rural Development Department, began in the second week of September using Ks 150 million from the Village Development Project (VDP) fund and Ks 15 million in public contributions, totaling Ks 165 million.— Poe Thakin
