Mongnai, 10 September

Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development conducted an inspection this morning of the ongoing rural road construction in Nakhan Village, Mongnai Township, Shan State (South).

The project aims to improve access to local markets by facilitating the timely transport of goods, thereby saving both time and money for local residents.

During the inspection, officials met with representatives from the construction company and stressed the importance of meeting the project’s completion deadlines. The road, which will be four furlongs long, 12 feet wide, and nine inches thick, is being built by a company that won the tender. The project is funded by Ks 18.21 million from the State budget and began in the first week of August this year.

Once completed, the road is expected to bring significant benefits to the residents of Nakhan Village, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Maung Khaing
