            Minbu Township Department of Rural Development is implementing construction of a water tank and related works in Mannkyoe village in Minbu Township, Magway Region with the aim of distributing purified drinking water to the local residents. On September 23, officials from the Township Department inspected the construction works of water tank.

            Officials from District and Township Departments of Rural Development and responsible engineers inspected the water tank capable of storing 2400 gallons of water, digging tube well and related works with members of village water supply committee. Then a responsible engineer from the construction company clarified the salient points of the project and the officials urged them to meet the set standard within the target date.

Digging a 300 ft deep tube well, construction of a water tank capable of storing 2400 gallons of water, installation of household-meter and construction of a meter room are being conducted with K 47.5 million of funds of Union by Myint Zu Aung Company starting from 26 June. Now, 82 percent of the project has completed, according to an official from the District Department of Rural Development.
