A workshop on court-led me­diation was reportedly held on the morning of 27 August at the convocation hall of Dagon Uni­versity.

 

The purpose of the work­shop was to raise awareness of the court-led mediation system among professionals from vari­ous fields.

 

During the workshop, Daw Cho Cho Mar, Assistant Direc­tor of the Yangon Region High Court Mediation Department, gave a presentation titled “In­troduction to Mediation”, while Daw Mon Thu Zar Khin, Dep­uty Director, spoke on “Court-led Mediation”. Additionally, U Saw Myo Myo, Regional Judicial Officer, delivered a talk on “An Analysis of the Mediation Sys­tem”.

 

Attendees, including teach­ers and students from the De­partment of Law of Dagon Uni­versity, asked questions and engaged in a lively discussion with the speakers. The work­shop was attended by more than 250 people, including judicial officers from the Yangon Region High Court, the Dagon Univer­sity Pro-Rector, the Professor and Head of the Department of Law, and teachers and students specializing in law. — ASH/KNN
