DEMU carriages, introduced on the Yangon–Nay Pyi Taw route on 28 February, have become popular among passengers for their comfort and punctual service.
THE extension of the DEMU express train will be launched for the Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw railway on 9 October, according to Myanma Railways.
The DEMU express will depart from the Yangon Central Railway Station at noon and arrive at the Nay Pyi Taw Central Railway Station at 5:30 pm, and depart from Nay Pyi Taw at 6 am and arrive back in Yangon at 11:30 am. The Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon schedule will be run by two DEMU trains: the train that departs from Yangon is the No 31 Up-train and the No 7 Up-train, while the train that departs from Nay Pyi Taw is the No 32 Down-train and the No 8 Down-train.
Ticket fees remain unchanged – K19,000 for first class and K28,000 for upper class.
