Upper Minhla, 14 October
The Township Department of Public Health, in collaboration with the Basic Education Department, conducted a school-based vaccination program today at No. 3 and No. 6 Basic Education Primary Schools in Minhla Township, Magway Region.
The vaccinations, carried out by Daw Zin Mar Win and a team of health workers from the Township Public Health Department, aim to reduce the incidence and mortality of vaccine-preventable diseases during the 2025–2026 academic year. The program targeted students aged 5 to 7 for the second booster dose of the Diphtheria-Tetanus (DT) vaccine, and those aged 9 to 10 for the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
A total of 74 students received the DT booster, while 57 students were systematically administered the HPV vaccine.— Win Myat (Upper Minhla)
