Police in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta say more than 50 people have been injured after blasts ripped through a high school.

The cause of the explosions is still being investigated.

Indonesian media say the incident happened during prayers at a mosque located on the school's premises. Students are among those injured.

Local sources also report there may have been multiple explosions.

Security services have restricted access to the scene, and police say they're working to determine whether this was an act of terrorism.

Indonesia has experienced a number of attacks, including suicide bombings, throughout the years.

A series of blasts on the island of Bali in 2002 killed over 200 people.
