Some villages in Danubyu Township, Maubin District in Ayeyawady Region suffered from scarcity of drinking water due to extreme hot weather as the dry season set in.
As part of efforts to help the difficulties of the people, security personnel, firefighters and volunteers from Light Infantry Battalion No-108, the township fire brigade and a philanthropic association jointly provided over 6000 gallons of drinking water to the affected people in Kandaung, Gonehnyintan, Dakhok chaung, Aswan, Byinbwe and nearby villages in the township yesterday.—Aung Thu Hein (Danubyu)
