Lashio, 22 October

An election awareness billboard bearing the message “Let’s vote so as not to lose our citizenship rights” was unveiled in front of Lashio City Hall on 22 October to promote voter participation in the upcoming general election on 28 December 2025.

The event was attended by U Myint Than Win, Chairman of the Shan State (North) Government Sub-Administrative Division, U Myo Min Tun, Chairman of the District Management and Administration Committee, and members of the District and Township Election Commissions. Officials took part in the unveiling and posed for a group photo.

Pamphlets were distributed to raise public awareness, while local election sub-commissions continue voter education efforts in wards and village tracts, including demonstrations of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) and key election information.— U Lu Maw
