THE election subcommission of Shan State (East) organized an electoral training course for the polling station officers, deputy polling station officers and ward/village-tract election subcommissions at the city hall of Kengtung Township. It was attended by Triangle Re­gion Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Hlaing, officials of the township election sub­commission and invitees.

At the event, an official of UEC for Shan State (East) clar­ified the purpose of the train­ing course. The commander and attendees inspected the displayed MEVM, electoral books and journals.

The training will be con­ducted for 294 trainees until 24 November. — MNA/KTZH
