To support agricultural activities in Kamma Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank has begun disbursing 2025 Monsoon Crop Loans to its members across 52 village tracts in the township.
As part of the program, the bank branch has distributed a total of Ks 44.4 million in loans to 124 farmers from Yenanttha Village Tract, covering 296 acres of monsoon paddy fields. So far, loans have been disbursed in 19 village tracts within the township.
The bank plans to provide a total of Ks 3,000 million in loans throughout Kamma Township to support monsoon paddy cultivation. According to the bank, farmers are receiving Ks 150,000 per acre for monsoon paddy and Ks 100,000 per acre for other crops, including peanuts and sesame.—Kyaw Zeya Win (Kamma)
