To support farmers in Kamma Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank has begun disbursing 2025 Monsoon Crop Loans to bank members across 51 village tracts in the Township.

 

Today, the bank branch distributed a total of Ks 662.5 million in loans to 194 farmers from Htandaw Village Tract and Alechaung village tract, covering 435 acres of monsoon paddy fields and 10 acres of sesame. As of now, 22 village tracts received the loans.

 

The bank plans to disburse a total of Ks 3 billion in loans across Kanma Township to aid in the cultivation of monsoon paddy. According to the bank branch, farmers are receiving Ks.150,000 per acre of monsoon paddy land and Ks.100,000 per acre for other crops such as peanuts and sesame.— Kyaw Zeya Win (Kamma)
