THE FIFA Council has appointed U Zaw Zaw, President of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF), as the Chair of the FIFA Football Social Responsibility Committee during its October 2025 meeting.

 

U Zaw Zaw will serve as Chair of the Com­mittee for the term 2025-2029. He is currently the Senior Vice-President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), as well as Chair of the AFC Social Responsibility Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees of the AFC Dream Asia Foundation for the 2023-2027 term.

 

Throughout his football leadership career, U Zaw Zaw has received several prestigious honours, including the AFC Dream Asia Award (2013), ASEAN Goodwill Award (2014), ASEAN Goodwill Award (2017), and AFC Distinguished Service Award (2024) from the AFC and ASEAN Football Federation.

 

The newly formed FIFA Football Social Re­sponsibility Committee will also include 21 mem­bers, with legendary Argentine footballer Javier Zanetti serving as Vice-Chair. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
