Officials from the Kengtung District Disaster Management Department provided financial aid, building materials, rice, and relief supplies to families affected by a fire in Moksunmaing Village, Kengtung Township, Shan State (East) on 30 October. The fire, reportedly caused by a mosquito coil, destroyed one house, killed two people, and injured a child.

A total of 880,000 kyats was given, including 650,000 kyats for the three victims and 230,000 kyats each for building materials and food, along with 17 types of consumer goods.

U Saw Min Thu, Chairman of the Kengtung Township Management Committee, and U Tin Maung Maung Win, Deputy Director of the District Disaster Management Department, led the aid distribution.—Aung Zin Myint (IPRD)
