Htantabin (Yangon) 19 August

With the aims of increasing fish production, enhancing fish resources, creating job opportunities and increasing income, a fish stocking ceremony was held in natural lake (Hlaing River) in Ward-4 in Htantabin Township, Yangon Region on 19 August.

Under the supervision of Yangon Region Department of Fisheries, departmental officials from Region, District and Township, Chairman and members of Township Management and Administration Committee, officials from Hlawga and Lay Daung Kan hatcheries, ward administrator and local residents released 880,000 fingerlings of rohu into the natural lake (Hlaing River).
