Kamma, 17 September
An emergency food distribution event was held yesterday afternoon at the monastery in Thazi Village, Kamma Township, Magway Region, for residents affected by recent flooding.
The flood victims were evacuated to safer areas earlier this month due to the rising water levels of the Ngawa Creek.
U Zaw Min Naing, Chairman of the Township Management and Administration Committee, along with other officials, distributed food rations to 52 displaced individuals — comprising 26 men and 26 women from 18 households.
As part of the relief program, each household received six baskets of rice, one viss of edible oil, one viss of gram, and 18 packets of salt.— U Kyaw Zayyar Win (IPRD)
