A fresher’s welcome ceremony was held at the University of Computer Studies in Gaw Village in Thaton Township of Mon State on 21 November.

 

During the ceremony, Dr. Wint Thida Zaw, Pro-Rector at University of Computer Studies (Thaton) delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, respective lecturers, tutors and demonstrators who will teach the first year students (first semester) welcomed the students and introduced academic knowledge for respective specializations.

 

The University offers five-year bachelor’s degree programs in computer science and computer technology. Currently, a total of more than 560 students are attending peacefully and are being taught by 38 teachers.

 

Today, 119 new students those who passed matriculation exam for 2023-2024 Academic year and are admitted to the University of Computer Studies (Thaton) were welcomed.— District IPRD
