A ground consecration ceremony to build a community center of the Information and Public Relations Department under the Ministry of Information was held at the construction site in Lashio, Northern Shan State this morning.
The members of Sangha recited “Paritta” and shared the merits of the good deeds. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Commissioner U Kyaw Thuzaw, departmental officials and representatives from the tender winning company. The IPRD signed a deal with Myanmar Kyelsinlin Company who won the tender for construction of a community center and staff housing for employees from the IPRD.
Under the agreement, the tender winning company will build a six-storey facility and a two-storey structure and the construction period is expected to take about one year.—Han Htay (Lashio)
