As many as 5,130 stimulant tablets and heroin weighing 1.111 kilos worth K 108.5 million were seized in Saemile village, Mohnyin Township, Kachin State yesterday evening.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Inspector Myo Min Tun from Anti-Drugs Squad-3 and police members from Mohnyin Myoma Police Station together with witnesses searched the house of Tum Yee Sauk of Saemile village, 50 and detained Kyaw Thein (a) Aphu, 23 and Yee Lin Aung (a) Swan Phaet Shwe, 24 together with 5,130 WY branded stimulant tablets and 1.111 kilos of heroin worth K 108.5 million, and two hand phones.
Action is being taken against Kyaw Thein of Mantung and Yee Lin Aung of Lashio according to law by the police station concerned. The authorities are in hot pursuit of Tum Yee Sauk, the house owner who is on the run. –Win Naing ( Kachin )
